Cocoa Administration Officer

As a Cocoa Administration Officer at Comod Trading SA, you are responsible of the physical flow of beans execution from shipments to warehouses to manufacturing sites. This includes handling logistic documents; managing inventory; allocating contracts; and creating invoices. In addition, you will have one foot in sustainability ensuring balance of certification credits and traceability. 

This role will require strong coordination with origins, logistic and accounting colleagues within the Baronie group. Relationships with external stakeholders such as 3rd party suppliers and warehouse keepers are also key. The position will be based within our office in Caslano, Switzerland.

Your responsibilities as a Cocoa Administration Officer:

  • Processing shipment documents and declaration;
  • Coordinating quality claims and demurrage;
  • Executing contracts and processing call-offs and invoices;
  • Ensuring our contract management system is up-to-date and accurate;
  • Following up on contract allocation, inventories; weight and quality;
  • Conducting investigation in case of discrepancies between the company and the counterparty;
  • Computing our certification credit balance for the group (FT and RFA) and reporting on corresponding online platforms. 

As a Cocoa Administration Officer, this is what you bring:

  • A completed Bachelor degree in a relevant discipline to the role (Economics, Business Administration);
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an administrative position, preferably in soft commodities;
  • You are fluent in English, in writing and speaking. Any other languages would be an advantage;
  • Proficient computer skills (Office package);
  • Good administrative skills and capability to manage multiple tasks;
  • Great attention to detail and solution-driven;
  • Hands-on mentality and strong analytical skills with the ability to work well under pressure;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work both independent and in a team.
